Grid Profile
Voltage, rated refers to the voltage of the device or electrical appliance specified by the manufacturer so that the operation of the device or electrical appliance is in accordance with the specified characteristics. In the case of considering the voltage value that the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand supplies or provides services to electricity users, it is defined as the service voltage, which is usually the voltage value measured at the connection point or in front of the electricity meter. The service voltage level (low voltage) of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) is 230/400 volts and that of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) is 220/380 volts.
PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority) Voltage 400/230V
MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority) Voltage 416/240V
Which is the voltage measured at the transformer location.
The standard states that from the transformer to the load, the voltage drop must not exceed 5%.
For example:
PEA: 400 * 0.95 = 380V and 230 * 0.95 = 220V
MEA: 416 * 0.95 = 395V and 240 * 0.95 = 228V
